About the Museum, Windmill and Barn

After some months of negotiations, on March 11, 2001, Laverne and Shirley Simpson signed an agreement with the Johnson (Station) Historical Society donating their house, a wonderful barn and a windmill. The City Council agreed that the structures be moved to a city park in the vicinity of the new library.

On June 25, 2002, The House, Barn and Windmill were moved to their present location at 6161 Northglenn Drive, just west of the Johnston Public Library.
